Aerial Silks is one of the most well knowns forms of aerial arts. It is not only beautiful and captivating to watch, but it is fun to learn and it is an incredible tool for building strength, coordination, and flexibility. We will teach you the ins and outs of this apparatus. In our aerial silks class you will learn how to warmup, the basic wraps and poses, safety techniques, and the art of transitioning. We teach very beginners all the way through professional levels. Our aerial silks coaches will properly assess and place you in the level you need to be in!
Lyra is also known as Aerial Hoop. It is a fun apparatus that gives the opportunity for both those that like flexibility as well as dynamic moves to excel. You will learn fun entrances onto the aerial hoop, how to work with the lyra and use its movement to your advantage, and learn to spin in all sorts of ways! Before you know it, you'll be flipping and flying in, on, and around the lyra! We have kids as young as 5 that take the class and we have adults of all ages!
Trapeze is one of those traditional circus classes that just about everyone loves. You will learn how to work within the ropes to make beautiful shapes as well as how to flip and spin around the bar! We teach on a single point so we incorporate some dance trapeze as well as traditional trapeze into our classes!
Aerial hammock and aerial yoga are both the same material as our aerial silks. The difference is, the bottoms connect to make a continuous loop like a "hammock". In our aerial hammock classes you will learn how to use the silks in a way to perform beautiful poses and shapes. You will learn to connect those shapes together in order to do fun sequences! It is a great place to start your aerial journey, and it can also be done at a professional level! Aerial yoga will concentrate more on the strength and conditioning side of it and you will learn exercises to strengthen your entire body as well as make you more flexible! The sky is the limit with this versatile and beautiful apparatus.
We offer dance classes as a great form of cross training! We saw the need for our up and coming aerialists to have some dance training. The fluidity, grace, body awareness, and poise that comes from dance is an absolute enhancement to any aerial training program. We offer dance training for aerialists as well as an awesome Barre and Movement class. That class combines ballet, strength and flexibility training, and sequences and movement into one fun class! Its a great class for any level!
